Doing Business

New Carrollton, MD is affordable, connected, revitalizing, and welcoming. With a high quality of life, the city is home to over 12,000 residents and has a daytime population of nearly 30,000. The Federal Internal Revenue Service and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development serve as major employers in the area.

Mass transit plays a major role for New Carrollton as the Washington Metro, the MARC, and Amtrak all have stops at the city’s edge. New Carrollton will also be the eastern terminus for the planned Purple Line Light Rail. For motorists, the Capital Beltway intersects with US Route 50 less than a mile southeast of the city.

Proximity to the mass transit stations, numerous parks, great neighborhoods, and a low crime rate help to make New Carrollton a revitalizing walkable community. The New Carrollton Area Revitalization District (NARD) is a key economic development priority supported by a $1 Million Incentive Fund designed to support entities that relocate to New Carrollton.

New Carrollton is the new Prince George’s County. Diverse. Urban. Connected.
